So maybe today is not one of those days you feel like taking a three mile hike through a swamp? But you still want to get a stamp you say? - Here’s an opportunity to take a break! What goes with Letterboxing better than ice cream I ask you? Nuthin!!! The Take A Break Ice Cream Stand is an Independently Owned Ice Cream Stand (in Business since 1983) on Rt 17 in Tuxedo NY. If you are coming from Woodbury it is on your left … from Jersey it will be on your right. They are open seasonally but the box will be here year round (you just miss out on ˝ of your treat!). Park on the Side of the building with the mural, there are two large three trunk trees here but you’ll notice that one of the trees has one trunk sawed off. Park right in front of this one if you can! Behind this tree is a very very SPOR within which you will find the Take A Break Letterbox. This place is busy in the summer months so I suggest stamping in inside of your car… leisurely as you drink a shake or eat a cone. *** UPDATE: I THINK THE PROPRIETORS HAVE MOVED THE BOX TO BEHIND THE OTHER THREE TRUNK TREE PER MM UPDATE - THANKS FOR THAT INFO! *** THERE IS NO INK IN THE BOX PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN.
